The piece was shown at the Triennale di Milano in 1957, where Sarpaneva's glass was already establishing Finnish design's place in the international conversation. Its manufacture involved a process he developed himself: steam and expanding gas were used to press hot glass against its mold from within, allowing clear and colored glass to merge without visible seam. The rim is cast in Iittala's i-color — a green with grey undertones — while the bowl remains clear. Signed "Timo Sarpaneva 3810." Light surface wear consistent with age and use; one small knick near the color joint. Very good vintage condition.

Sold individually.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0646/2567/2387/files/20260624_JADE.GRAIN_0087_2ef0eb62-f8bc-4293-b1d4-6d2fba8c71b5.jpg?v=1782853408
