Handcrafted by Jingwen Wu, CH, c. 2024.
A quiet vessel for catching spontaneity and seasonal offerings. Its versatile form serves seamlessly as a catch-all, centerpiece, ikebana vase, serveware, or flip to use as an elevation for tea sets and other purposes. The exterior silver glaze will mellow to a soft gold over time, a change that can be gently reversed if desired (see care instructions). The interior metal glaze can mellow into a black-bronze-like texture with heat. (e.g., warm water, candlelight).
Based in Jingdezhen, Jingwen Wu creates fluid and organic works that blend function with an artistic dialogue. Preferring versatile forms that inspire new interactions and natural finishes that evolve gracefully, Wu’s work embodies a poetic approach to everyday objects. Each piece reflects a harmonious lifestyle, where craftsmanship meets subtlety.
