Jingwen Wu
“I wish to see new lives animate from the vessels I make.”
Jingwen Wu’s ceramic studio is nestled in Jingdezhen, the porcelain capital of China. Her work is defined by its fluid, organic forms—vessels that resist predefined purposes, instead inviting their owners to imagine new possibilities. Whether used as vases, tea tools, tableware, or decorative accents, each piece becomes a canvas for the artistic beholder’s vision.
Trained in animation, Wu brings a poetic sensibility to her craft, capturing fleeting moments and infusing them into her designs. Her creations resonate with subtlety and depth, reflecting a dialogue between human intention and natural forces. Through the interplay of layering, gravity, and glazing, she achieves a delicate balance between structure and fluidity, leaving space for interpretation and imagination.
