Handcrafted by Wu Jingwen, CN, c. 2026.
A one-of-a-kind sculptural vessel in the form of a split seed, wood-fired so that the surface moves between matte and glossy across the body — passages of ash-fall, char, and natural glaze that no two firings repeat. The paler colorway carries cream, blush, rust, and soft celadon. Opens to hold a single stem, an ikebana composition, or sculptural on its own.
Wu Jingwen's ceramic studio is nestled in Jingdezhen, the porcelain capital of China. Her work is defined by its fluid, organic forms — vessels that resist predefined purposes, instead inviting their owners to imagine new possibilities. Trained in animation, Wu brings a poetic sensibility to her craft, capturing fleeting moments and infusing them into her designs.
