Mengji Nongga
"Let's go home for dinner."
Mengji Nongga — a Guizhou dialect meaning "let's go home for dinner" — reimagines fragments of worn cloth into tactile forms of continuity. Using offcuts softened by time, women in the Miao villages of Guizhou braid, stitch, and weave each piece by hand. The resulting fabrics are not designed for spectacle but for living: table runners, cushions, and cloths that gather memory through repeated use.
Led by artist He Yan'er, Mengji Nongga draws a line from ancestral making to contemporary design. From the green fields of Guizhou to homes across the world, these works carry a quiet call: toward home, rhythm, and a way of mindful
