First edition monograph showcasing the innovative silver plate product designs by self-taught master silversmith and designer Lino Sabattini (1925-2016). As a young artist honing his craft after WWII, Sabattini caught the eye of Gio Ponti, who organized a solo exhibition of Sabattini's work in 1956, catapulting him to international recognition. Following a stint as design director at Christofle, Sabbatini opened his own eponymous company in 1964. His fluid, organic forms bridged classical and modernist aesthetics, earning Sabattini a gold medal at the Triennale di Milano in 1971 and a Compasso d'Oro in 1979. His work is included in museum collections worldwide, including MoMA and the Victorian and Albert Museum.
