Hand-spun by Norlha, CH, c. 2025.
An exclusive design by Jade Grain, the silver blanket pairs warmth with a subtle sheen. Woven with handspun yak khullu in the weft and silk in the warp, the blend brings added luminosity to the blanket’s grounded softness. Finished with hand-sewn tassels on all four corners, its rectangular form is equally suited for layering on a bed or folding across a day sofa. Under natural light, the silver-grey hue shifts gently.
Artisan-led and deeply rooted in the Tibetan Plateau, Norlha preserves a living tradition of nomadic craft. Each piece begins with yak khullu, hand-gathered each spring, and is shaped through slow processes—spinning, weaving, and finishing—by former herders who have become master artisans. The studio, founded in 2007 in Ritoma village, exists not to replicate heritage, but to carry it forward through thoughtful practice and generational skill.
